To be considered, you must be a South African citizen and have acceptance or provisional acceptance for studies at a South African <strong>public<\/strong> University or University of Technology for the following year.<\/p>\n<p>The Sasol Foundation is also offering STEM and Non-STEM bursaries <strong>exclusively<\/strong> for qualifying children of Sasol employees, Sasol Khanyisa\/Inzalo shareholders as well as applicants from Sasol fence-line communities.<\/p>\n<p>Sasol Foundation reserves the right to select qualifying individuals based on academic performance, household income, acceptance to University\/University of Technology as well South African citizenship.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that applicants who are in Grade 12 this year, must submit the<strong>\u00a0Grade 11 final<\/strong> results. 59% for English Second Additional language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>General application criteria for students currently studying at university:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Current 1<sup>st<\/sup> year students will apply with Grade 12 results.<\/li>\n<li>Current 2<sup>nd<\/sup> year students applying for third year will apply with 1<sup>st<\/sup> year results.<\/li>\n<li>Current 3<sup>rd<\/sup> year students applying for 4<sup>th<\/sup> year \/ Hons, will apply with 2<sup>nd<\/sup> year results.<\/li>\n<li>Hons. students applying for Masters, will apply with 3<sup>rd<\/sup> year results.<\/li>\n<li>Master students applying for PhD, will apply with Hons. results.<\/li>\n<li>Undergraduate students and Hons students must get 50% and above to meet minimum criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Application criteria for current university undergraduate students\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>(Academic year 1, 2, 3, 4 and Hons)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A Minimum of <strong>50% <\/strong>must be obtained for all courses which the student has registered for in the previous academic year.<\/li>\n<li>If a student is already studying towards the degree course for which he\/she is applying for a bursary, the student must be registered for the degree course over the minimum study period for the degree involved (i.e. 4 years for engineering degree) and\/or able to still complete studies in that minimum period of time.<\/li>\n<li>Students who are already on an extended study period or already added a year to the minimum study period (i.e. 5 years for an engineering degree) as well as individuals who are planning to register for an extended degree course, must <strong>not <\/strong>apply.<\/li>\n<li>Applications must be for full time studies towards an academic degree at an accredited and approved South African University.<\/li>\n<li>Studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA) will not be considered\/allowed.<\/li>\n<li>No bursaries are awarded for studies at a University of Technology, except for studies in Mine Surveying.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Current university postgraduate students &#8211; (applying for Masters \/ PhD)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A Minimum of <strong>65% <\/strong>must be obtained for all courses which the student has registered for in the previous academic year.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To be considered for the Sasol Foundation bursary, the applicant must meet the following minimum criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be\u00a0a South African Citizen.<\/li>\n<li>Must have acceptance or provisional acceptance for studies at a South African University or University of Technology for the upcoming year.<\/li>\n<li>Combined Household Income must be less than 600 000 per annum<\/li>\n<li>Must have obtained a minimum of 50% in all subjects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Non-STEM<\/strong>\u00a0bursaries are reserved only for\u00a0<strong>qualifying\u00a0<\/strong>Children of Sasol Employees, Khanyisa\/Inzalo Shareholders or Candidates from Sasol Fence-line communities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>NB<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The final\u00a0selection will prioritise\u00a0financially needy and academically competitive candidates.<\/li>\n<li>Selected individuals must be willing to go through and Interviews as well as psychometric assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Please note that applicants who are in Grade 12 this year, must submit the<strong>\u00a0Grade 11 final<\/strong> results.<\/li>\n<li>All other applicants may submit end of year results whichever year they have completed Grade 12.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants who were enrolled at a Higher Learning Institution may use their end of year results to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Call <a href=\"tel:+27860106235\">0860 106 235<\/a>\u00a0for more information[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;What does a Bursary include?&#8221; This rate is determined by Sasol in conjunction with the university.<\/li>\n<li>An amount for meals based on three meals per day, as determined by the University.<\/li>\n<li>An amount of approximately R12 000,00 per annum, towards book and pocket money.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Sasol Mainstream Postgraduate Bursaries:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Monthly stipend for the duration of your studies to pay for registration fees, tuition, research cost, accommodation and all other expenses related to their studies.<\/li>\n<li>No additional cost\/expenses will be covered by Sasol.<\/li>\n<li>The mentioned stipend is pre-determined and will be paid from the date that proof of registration for the degree involved can be submitted.<\/li>\n<li>Access to Sasol technical mentors for support during studies.<\/li>\n<li>Once finished with their studies, Sasol postgraduates have the opportunity to join the Sasol Graduate Development programme as a Scientist-in-Training or Engineer-in-Training.
