Minimum Entry Requirements for TDP Programme<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Hold a <\/span>SAQA-registered qualification<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Qualification must be in a <\/span>recognised engineering discipline<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Qualification must be at a <\/span>minimum NQF Level 6<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        Candidates must meet the following <\/span><\/b>minimum<\/span><\/b> qualification criteria:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

        National Senior Certificate (Grade 12 \/ N3)<\/span><\/i><\/b>
        \n(6 subjects including Pure Mathematics, Physical Science, and English<\/span>), and<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        National Diploma in Engineering (NQF 6)<\/span><\/i><\/b>
        \n(Chemical \/ Mechanical \/ Civil \/ Electrical \u2013 Heavy \/ Electrical – Light current – Majoring in Instrumentation and\/or Process Control), <\/span>or\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

        B.Eng. Tech. (NQF 7\/8)<\/span><\/i><\/b>
        \n(Chemical \/ Mechanical \/ Civil \/ Electrical \u2013 Heavy \/ Electrical – Light current – Majoring in Instrumentation and\/or Process Control), <\/span>or\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

        International Qualifications\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        Must be evaluated by SAQA and equivalent to South African NQF Level 6 or higher<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Qualification. The <\/span>candidate<\/span><\/b> is responsible for obtaining SAQA evaluation prior to placement consideration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        Important Note on Supporting Documentation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

        In cases where an official National Senior Certificate is not available, a Statement of Results will be accepted only if it explicitly confirms that the candidate \u201cqualifies for the National Senior Certificate.\u201d\u00a0 The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (B.Eng.Tech.)<\/strong> is the new degree-level qualification (NQF 7)<\/strong> offered at South African universities of technology. It replaces the old National Diploma (NQF 6)<\/strong> and BTech (NQF 7)<\/strong>, aligning with the Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework (HEQSF).<\/p>\n

        Exclusion Criteria<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

        Candidates will be deemed <\/span>not eligible<\/span><\/b> if:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        • Qualification is <\/span>not registered with SAQA<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Qualification is <\/span>not in an engineering discipline<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Qualification falls <\/span>below NQF Level 6<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
        • International qualification is <\/span>not evaluated by SAQA<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Qualification cannot be verified or is from an <\/span>unrecognised institution<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Incomplete Qualifications<\/strong> will not be considered<\/li>\n
        • Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license<\/strong> (learner’s licenses will not be accepted)<\/span><\/li>\n
        • The candidate is not a South African Citizen<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Competency-Based Assessments:<\/strong> Frequent, standardised assessments focused on developing and measuring job-relevant competencies.<\/li>\n
          • Fit-for-Purpose Curriculum:<\/strong> Training content is tailored to meet the specific needs of each discipline and role within the organisation.<\/li>\n
          • Ongoing Mentorship and Buddy System:<\/strong> Continuous support through structured mentorship and peer guidance to reinforce learning and workplace integration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Programme Objectives:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

            • Holistic Skill Development:<\/strong> Equip Learner Technicians with foundational leadership, managerial, technical, and life skills essential for success in the workplace, in line with Sasol\u2019s expectations.<\/li>\n
            • Compliance and Professional Readiness:<\/strong> Ensure that Learner Technicians are developed to meet applicable legislative and professional standards. While registration with professional bodies is optional, associated costs are borne by the individual.<\/li>\n
            • Blended Learning Approach:<\/strong> Promote effective learning through a combination of classroom training, self-study, workplace application, coaching, and project-based assignments, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • All applications must be submitted online<\/strong> via the Sasol application portal, no later than the closing date<\/strong> indicated on the landing page.<\/li>\n
                • Only shortlisted candidates<\/strong> will be contacted for interviews. Notifications will be communicated via telephone<\/strong> and written correspondence<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
                • The selection process includes a structured online panel interview<\/strong> and online psychometric assessments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
